THE INVINCIBLE HALL
The Invincible Hall in Amritsar will be a training ground for teaching, healing, and elevation. Subjects we plan to teach there include Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Gurbani Kirtan, Gatka, Gurmukhi script, Punjabi and Gurmukhi language classes, durational Japa practices, Sat Nam Rasayan, Sikh History, Gurmat, and more. The Invincible Hall’s proximity to the Golden Temple will also allow students to participate in many kinds of seva, or selfless service, at the Golden Temple. We would love to give people the opportunity to participate in this way.
The Invincible Hall. The name "Invincible Hall" is a translation of the name of a training ground in Amritsar where the 6th Sikh Master, Guru Hargobind, trained the warriors of the Akal Sena, The Immortal Army. The location of the original Ranjit Akhara, or Invincible Hall, is in front of the Akal Takhat, which is about 100 yards from the door of the building we are buying. The building is located just behind the Akal Takhat, with an incredible view of the Takhat and Golden Temple complex. It will be a place where yoga, gurbani, kirtan, and japa practitioners can come and have adirect experience of the sacred beauty of the Golden Temple. It will also be a place where the Dasam Granth and Sarabloh Granth of Guru Gobind Singh will be studied. The warrior tradition of the Khalsa will be a big part of our curriculum.
Our long-term vision is that this building would become a residential seva house, and the foundational stone and seed for a Yogic University in the tradition of Yogi Bhajan and Miri Piri Academy. It could be a place for Miri Piri Academy students to continue their studies.
